Amar graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology, and Masters Degree of Physical Therapy. Amar has also received his Certification in Dry Needling by Acupuncture Canada. At UBC, Amar was part of the Northern and Rural Cohort where he completed clinical placements in rural communities allowing him to see a wide variety of patients. Through this experience, he was able to utilize numerous techniques to assist patients’ in their rehabilitation journey.

Amar has a keen interest in treating injuries related to sports, orthopedics, and MVA’s. He also enjoys helping patients with back, neck, shoulder, and knee pain. Amar’s approach to therapy is to provide patient-centered evidence-based care through education, manual therapy, and exercise prescription. His treatment is rooted in providing one-on-one care and spending the necessary time to formulate a plan of action alongside his clients to achieve their goals. He’s a continuous learner, always looking to advance his skills and knowledge. Currently, he is pursuing his orthopedic levels and sports physiotherapy certification.

Amar’s interest in physiotherapy began from his own personal experience with injuries and rehab through sports. He was fascinated by the way his physiotherapist was able to use multiple different techniques to get him game-ready as quickly as possible. From there, he began looking into the steps required to become a physiotherapist himself.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a certificate of Applied Human Nutrition from Simon Fraser University. She then completed her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Currently, Lisa is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy, an active member of Healthy Dancer Canada, and member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS). She also completed a course in the Clinical Management of the Dancer Patient at the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries in New York.

In addition to her Dance training, Lisa has also completed numerous other post-graduate courses and certifications, including the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute program and Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation). Lisa also is planning to pursue credentials in Clinical Pilates.

Lisa has spent the majority of her career working in private practice – including ten years in Edmonton. While Lisa treats a variety of injuries, she has a special interest in dance medicine and running injuries. Over the past ten years Lisa had the opportunity to work with a significant number of young dancers.

Andrea completed her Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia, followed by her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. In addition to physiotherapy, Andrea is certified to perform acupuncture and IMS/dry needling. Andrea has also completed Level 3 of the prestigious Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy program and has successfully passed the intermediate exam.

Andrea’s interest in physiotherapy began while spending considerable time rehabilitating her own sports injuries when growing up. After personally experiencing the benefits of physiotherapy, Andrea became motivated to help others experience these same benefits.

Andrea has a variety of interests and clinical experience including sports, orthopaedics, workplace injuries, injuries caused from motor vehicle accidents, arthritis, osteoporosis, pre/post surgical rehabilitation, and helping those suffering from back and neck pain. Andrea has a particular interest in running injuries – having taken numerous post-graduate courses in the treatment of these injuries. Andrea is constantly taking additional training in other areas too – to date, Andrea has taken courses in therapeutic taping, cervical spine articular dysfunctions, the Mulligan concept, and Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete.

Andrea’s sport involvement includes working with the Richmond Roadrunner’s lacrosse team, the 2012 BC Summer games, the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championships at Softball City, Earl Marriott Football, and Americas Masters Games. Ryan completed the Registered Massage Therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. As a believer in ongoing education, Ryan takes pride in staying current with learning the latest knowledge and massage therapy techniques. Ryan`s favourite part of being a massage therapist is building genuine connections with his clients and helping them recover from any ailment they may have.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Ryan studied sport science at Douglas College in New Westminster. His knowledge and personal interest in sport and fitness make him the ideal therapist for someone suffering from sport-related pain or injury. Through his practice, Ryan has also had the opportunity to work with clients at various levels of physical ability. He has worked with individuals struggling with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, and a variety of other conditions.

Brinder completed her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of British Columbia prior to completing her Bachelors of Science in Physiotherapy in the United Kingdom. Her studies abroad have given her the opportunity to explore and hone various skill sets from different communities around the world. Brinder has also received her Acupuncture Canada Certificate in Dry Needling.

Brinder has clinical experience in both public and private settings with caseloads consisting of surgical, orthopaedic injuries, stroke rehabilitation, outpatient care, workplace injuries and ICBC claims. With a strong emphasis on continued education for her professional growth, Brinder enjoys pursing additional courses including advanced training in soft tissue release. Her treatment approach is a combination of patient education, manual therapy and exercise prescription to help patients recover and achieve their goals. Further, her work in acute care has enhanced her ability to provide optimal care to patients with complex care needs.

Brinder’s desire to pursue a career in physiotherapy began from her passion for science and understanding the human anatomy. Her interest in this field continued to grow by observing therapists assisting her family members with their rehabilitation needs (varying from sports injuries to chronic illnesses). The compassion she saw in these professionals inspired her to begin a career focused on improving the lives of others.

Gulab graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree (Kinesiology) from Simon Fraser University. Gulab has completed numerous post-graduate courses including Gunn intramuscular stimulation (IMS), acupuncture through Acupuncture Canada, and vestibular therapy. Gulab is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy – considered the gold standard for hands-on manual and manipulative therapy.

Gulab enjoys working with individuals of all ages and abilities. Gulab’s focus is to help each person meet their specific goals whether that is gardening or training for a marathon. He has experience working with a number of injuries including sprains/strains, whiplash, arthritis and post-surgical patients.

Kaylene is a University of British Columbia graduate with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology). She has always been passionate about helping others, and has many years of experience with patient care, building therapeutic relationships, and team collaboration in medical settings.

Kaylene’s passion for physiotherapy began while volunteering in the local community, including time at Peace Arch Hospital in senior care, general rehabilitation, acute day surgery, and exercise classes. Here she was inspired by the valuable role physiotherapists played in working one-on-one to help patients achieve their rehabilitation and active lifestyle goals. Kaylene is certified in the Mulligan Concept and is pursuing further credentials in orthopaedics and vestibular physiotherapy. She is certified to perform dry needling through Foundations Health Education.

Kaylene has experience in orthopaedics, community care, neurology, and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. At the age of 18, Dong began a journey of self-healing by practicing QiGong (Zhong Gong). This lead him towards daily meditation, and an interest in helping others. Dong emigrated to Canada in 2003, but returned to Shanghai, China in 2011 to complete two years of clinical experience working as an assistant with a TCM master. Upon returning to Canada, Dong went on to complete his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology in Victoria, B.C. in 2017. Since then, he has practiced traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, auricular therapy, foot reflexology, yang shen (health preservation), and meditation.

Over the years, Dong has helped patients find relief from headaches, insomnia, dizziness, stress and anxiety, digestive problems, other internal organ disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. Dong has also successfully treated women’s health concerns, such as menstrual pain and dysfunction, and reproductive health and hormonal imbalances. Dong enjoys leading workshops for self-care acupressure, health maintenance, Taoist Meditation and Zen Meditation.

Michelle received her massage therapy diploma from MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta. She was the Gold Award winner for the Massage Therapy Foundation student case report contest in 2017 and has the article published in the International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Her interest in health and wellness began in university, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 2005, as well as certificates in Health and Fitness Studies, and Nutrition. She became a group fitness instructor, personal trainer and yoga teacher. For over 10 years, Michelle had the wonderful opportunity of traveling and teaching yoga, teaching in cities around the world such as Hong Kong, Stockholm, Istanbul and Brisbane.

Michelle uses a variety of techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, hydrotherapy, stretching, joint mobilizations, manual lymphatic drainage and remedial exercise. She has a strong interest in pregnancy massage and enjoys working with prenatal and postpartum clients. She invites her clients to develop more awareness and connection to the body through massage, and often encourages deeper attention to breath. She aims to integrate whole-body relaxation into her treatments.

Arissa obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology before graduating from Queen’s University with a Master’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to her Master’s degree, Arissa obtained ACSM International Personal Trainer Certification. Since graduation, Arissa has taken advanced training in soft tissue release, vestibular rehabilitation, and the Mulligan concept. She has also obtained Level 1 Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, and is certified to perform IMS.

Her interest in physiotherapy began as a patient following a motor vehicle accident. Her interest continued to grow through volunteer work in outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, inpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation, and community rehabilitation settings.

Arissa has clinical experience treating a wide range of conditions from workplace and motor vehicle injuries to sports, orthopaedics, arthritis, and pre/post surgical rehabilitation. Jennifer is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario where she completed an Honours Specialization in Clinical Kinesiology with distinction. Her specialization focused on understanding how kinesiology can be applied to different populations including athletes, older adults, and individuals with chronic diseases such as COPD, arthritis, heart disease and diabetes. Additionally, she possesses knowledge in the areas of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and nutrition.

While at Western University, she interned at Thames Valley Family Health Team, one of the largest family health teams in Ontario. She played a key role in creating and delivering exercise education programs tailored to various chronic disease populations including individuals with heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes.

Jennifer believes that exercise is medicine and that any step towards more movement, is a step towards improvement. Her main goal is to understand the specific needs of each patient and use evidence-based practices to create unique and suitable exercise plans.
